The Role
We are seeking a permanent part-time Retail Assistant who thrives in a hands-on, customer-focused environment. This role works 7 hours per week, every Saturday from 1.30-6 and Sunday 11.30-2. Flexibility is key here as this role also covers while other team members are on leave at our Papamoa and Te Puke stores, so we may need you to work on other days and hours as needed.At our stores, selling clothes is one part of the equation. Our favourite part is that we give real service that helps our customers feel confident, comfortable, and seen. We operate with a strong focus on customer experience, confidence, and teamwork. This role in store will:
- Build authentic relationships with customers
- Drive store sales performance through confident selling
- Deliver memorable service every time
- Support visual merchandising, store presentation and uphold operational standards
- Work on POS including sales and stock movements
- Contribute to a collaborative, supportive team culture
- Work set rostered days and hours (including weekends and public holidays)
- Provide additional cover for team members during leave
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine commitment to outstanding customer service and personal selling
- Passionate about fashion and helping others feel and look their best
- Confidence to engage and connect with a wide range of customers
- Experienced in retail or hospitality or customer service, however we accept all backgrounds and experiences
- Physically capable to stand for extended periods and manage stock (lifting, unpacking, replenishing)
- Energy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn
- A team mindset, we work in small stores, everyone does everything
