Next week will be my final blog for the year, and it is incredible to think this year has nearly gone. Of course, as Christmas draws closer, I will finish with a Christmas table setting and a super easy Christmas recipe for you all to try, so keep an eye out for next week’s issue. But for now, I wish to share the latest arrivals in our stores, just in time for Christmas, our long-awaited Cotton Poplin.

If you are anything like me, you will enjoy the comfort of wearing great fabric, even more so when it has the smallest amount of stretch. The Cotton Poplin fabrication is one of those. A very comfortable fabric that is a joy to wear. I have been looking forward to this range arriving!

I do not like to wear synthetic fabrics, as one reason is I am going through Menopause, so natural fabrics are preferred and easier there. With the Cotton Poplin being 70% cotton, the experience of wearing them is convenient and comfortable. Especially around the holiday festive season, the Cotton Poplins, elastic for comfort, mean no restrictions on our waistlines on a hot summer day!

We have two styles of dresses for two different ladies really, one is shorter, with a round neckline and puff sleeves, while the other is mid-length with a v-neckline. These offer different shapes, both very nice, cool and comfortable to wear. They look great in simple but bold colours like this gorgeous marine blue, cerise, fern, and of course, black.

The skirt, I like very much. It has a nice, easy pull-on elastic waist at the back only and a flat front for a flattering look with the fashion tiers. Available in black and the beautiful blue for a bolt of colour. A great price for a skirt, $79.99.

You could wear the skirt with a top you might already have or pair it with the Cotton Poplin top - A simple top with fashion statement 3/4 Raglan sleeves, and a gathered detail neckline. This style is very appropriate for the skirt or paired with your own pants.

The shirts are an ideal option also for a more structured look, and I would think perfect for the office scenario, when unfortunately, the holidays are over and we’re back into the real world. Simple clean lines with a 3/4 sleeve keep the look simple and classic.
