Get Ready for Spring

September officially marks the start of Spring, and with the change of season comes so many exciting new styles arriving in our Caroline Eve stores. I am loving seeing the new season arrive and want to let you know, that we have so much to look forward to.

Whether it's colour, styles, or shapes, or simply the way pieces are being worn, there is so much to be excited about. So, I thought I would share with you some of the highlights arriving over the next month or so and get you thinking about brighter days ahead and what you may like to start with for your new season refresh.

Such glorious colours for this season, and so many of them too. Chocolate Brown remains a fundamental neutral, but it’s being worn with white and ivory for a lighter, more summery feel. Vibrant reds, pinks, and corals are making an appearance, alongside every shade of blue imaginable. Navy is particularly strong this season, and there are plenty of gorgeous greens to love as well.

Print is another trend we simply must talk about. There is a lot of it this season, from gingham for a relaxed summer look to spots, which are making a very strong comeback. Whether oversized or small, spots are a standout trend for the season ahead. Then there are the gorgeous florals and prints inspired by gardens or distant shores and European destinations such as St Tropez. There are also stripes, reminding us of a nautical, retro era. They are arriving in every size and colour imaginable.

Wear a classic striped top with relaxed floating pants, denim, or even a floral skirt. That is very much the spirit of this season. It's about mixing things up, combining print with print, and embracing colour. Small square scarves are also making an appearance, worn around the head, tied at the neckline, or even hanging from a bag or basket for a touch of retro charm. There is certainly a European influence throughout the season, and that gives us a little more licence to be colourful, relaxed and expressive in our dressing.

I also think this season feels very feminine. There are gorgeous full-length skirts in prints, spots and plain colours, along with plenty of easy-to-wear dresses.

I have always loved a full skirt because it works beautifully with a basic top, soft shirt or blouse for everyday wear or special occasions. I have been wearing full skirts for a while now and love that they are here for the summer with so many options available, as they have been surprisingly hard to find in recent years.

Our dresses are all about easy styling, arriving in glorious prints and colours that can simply be paired with sandals or slides. There are also some fantastic new footwear trends emerging. Woven styles are becoming more prominent, along with pointed-toe mules for a retro feel. Sneakers remain popular too, especially when worn back with skirts, but now in bolder colours such as yellow, green and red. And of course, we must not forget the browns.

It looks like a summer about comfort, colour and plenty of print, all combined with effortless style. A little like you’re dressed for wandering through the streets of Italy or strolling through a French market
