This winter season we are seeing lots of new colours, and a colour theme I would like to share with you is our soft & pretty colours.

There are a number of soft pretty coloured garments that have recently arrived at our Caroline Eve stores and one of them is our must-have coat of the season. This coat is such a soft beautiful colour, somewhere between a soft peachy pink marle and french vanilla cream.

How versatile is this coat one could ask?

Well, it is in such a versatile colour that goes with just about anything, hence I have been pairing it with just about every colour. I absolutely love pairing this coat with our new Parchment colour that we have in our Coloured Denim range. It is such a nice change to have a lighter coloured denim jean. This season we have a new wide leg style available, which is a more modern take on thejean. Trust me, once you have them on you won’t want to take them off. I love the look of the lighter pant and it gives a more modern look to any blouse or jumper paired with it, even more so if you go for all cream or softer hues.

How refreshing is it to be able to change out some of our basics for winter from dark to light. Our soft and pretty colours are very flattering against any skin tone. In fact, I have even started to wear lighter colours in my pants and tops and I love the change in how I feel compared to wearing my usual, which would have been black. I feel more feminine and I’m enjoying matching so many colours together these days.

So, it doesn’t have to be all dark for winter, you can go bright, which works very well with darker colours, or you can go all soft and lovely which again you can mix with dark or bright colours.

It’s all about making the change, and I promise you, you will not only look fresh and new for a winter’s day, you will feel enlightened in a whole new way to wear your clothes - lighter, softer and more feminine.
